It was recently announced that the Ministry of Education will invest €70 million a year in the social sciences and humanities on the basis of the SSH sector plans. The boost will provide our faculty with an extra budget of around €5 million a year. This money will be used to reduce the workload and invest in four specific research themes. Marieke de Goede discusses the specifics with Director of Operations Anne van de Graaf and Professor of Data, Culture & Institutions Thomas Poell.
