Digital systems, algorithms and platforms have unlocked endless new possibilities, but they also have severe social consequences. The UvA-wide research theme Responsible Digital Transformations focuses on the ethical, legal and societal aspects of digital technologies. Dean Marieke de Goede talks about it with Sennay Ghebreab (professor of Socially Intelligent AI) and Tobias Blanke (University Professor of Humanities and AI), who have been involved in the theme since its beginning.
