We sluiten onze muzikale zomerreeks af in de jongste supermacht: China. Cindy Huijgen is alweer vier jaar correspondent in Beijing. Zij keerde als journalist terug naar het land dat ze als baby verliet toen ze door haar Nederlandse ouders werd geadopteerd. Met muziek duiken we in het geboorteland van Huijgen. Zo leren we bijvoorbeeld het lied kennen dat ze zong tijdens een recente reünie in haar oude weeshuis. Maar ook het protestlied van de pro-democratiebeweging in Hongkong.
